History On Sale

This fairly legendary photo was another one sent to me by my pal Tommy, who runs the super-fun Batman fan site The Bat-Blog. Thanks again, Tommy!

If you look on the bottom row, you can see three fresh and minty copies of Action Comics #1 on sale! Wow!

You know, you've got to be able to move fast, Karswell. I ran to my time machine immediately upon seeing this post, bought the 3 copies of Action #1, then returned to the present, got on a plane, bound for one of the major auction houses, to tell them about the two mint copies I had for sale. We negotiated a tidy little sum as a minimum bid and a slightly higher than average buyer's premium. My next step would have been to hand carry the comics for certification and encapsulation, but when I arrived back home, imagine my surprise to see my mother (who died some years back) awaiting me in the living room. She had thrown the 3 copies of Action #1 out the previous day. The room seemed to spin, and suddenly Rod Serling was standing in front of me. He said, and I'm paraphrasing, "Practical joke perpetrated by Mother Nature, who would rather return a missing mother gone to the grave than provide unfettered access to Action Comics number one. All part of a perfect plan devised in... The Twilight Zone."

Unfortunately, the pics of the Action 1 is photoshopped and is a hoax.
If you go here you can clearly see the original photo before:

Sorry if I destroyed the illusion. But it's a fake
