"Comic Land" - 1948

sgThis is another vintage, presumably P.D. photo I found online, titled "Comic Land." It's from Spring(ish) 1948--I know that from that bottom copy of DC's Mr. District Attorney; its issue #4, cover-dated July 1948.

This is what I imagine Heaven looks like.

its funny; look close and you can only see two superhero titles amid that mountain of comics! (Detective way up top, on the left, and Whiz Comics on the far right)

...and i wonder why comics dont sell like they used to...

Super hero related titles also include Human Torch, Master Comics (starring Captain Marvel Jr.), Jerry Siegel's Funnyman, All-Winners (Timely B-level heroes), Captain America, Sun Girl, and Black Cat. So yeah, plenty of superheroes are represented on that stand.
